4th Gen values on the rise?

Toyota 4runner 82K Miles, '09 - auto parts - by owner - vehicle...

Looks like BaT pricing to me, totally out of wack.

$18k for a 2WD V6 with a salvage title?

Kelley Blue Book says ~$10k with a clean title.

Yeah salvage is bad enough, I still can't understand why Toyota ever made 2wd 4runners.

I was about to say it's not totally obsurd and then I saw 2WD, V6, and salvage title. Yikes. That's a shame, looks clean and low mileage.

Hey no dissing the V6 :-). The V6 doesn't hurt values out here, Caflifornia gas is expensive and 13 mpg is painful.

I'm not dissing it at all I had a 3rd and 5th gen, and my brother has a V6 4th. They're great!

They just don't bring quite the same money and something priced absolutely premium better have a V8.

P.S. I'm jealous, I wish I got 13 mpg hahaha.

15 MPG combined on my last tank on my 06' V6 4wd with only 31.5's....V6's can suck the gas too.

Craigslist seller is high as a mofo to think he'll get that kind of scrilla for his salvage title 2wd V6.

I guess it depends on your Highway/city split. My V6 got north of 20 hwy when it was stock. With 32's and a roof rack I'm around 17.5 if I don't drive 75 mph.
My neighbor with a v8 was getting like 230 miles to a tank on 31's, the math on that aint great.

Yeah. I was lucky to get 13 mpg (~300 miles per tank) with my V8, and that was when it was stock. I quit keeping track after getting a lift, bigger tires, etc.

Not sure why MPG always comes up... You should look at these vehicles like a sports car. Your not buying it for MPG, your buying it for the driving characteristics, capability and the fun of it. Should buy a compact or a hybrid if MPG is that important.

I agree. I didn’t buy mine for the MPG. I bought it to tow a trailer. I only post on the MPG threads when someone with a V6 complains about their MPG.

I daily mine but that's besides the point. Range does come into play if you're out in BFE for long stretches. Extra gas is more weight and space taken up in addition to gear.
Or on a road trip, I don't want to stop for gas every 200 miles.

Because they're not purpose built vehicles unless you modify them with suspension and 33s like a lot of us do as enthusiasts. At the end of the day, they're just a Toyota SUV which people use to pick up kids and move groceries.
