Desert Does It Seat Jackers

Can anyone comment on the Desert Does it Seat Jackers? Are they any better than just putting a stack of washers under the front bolts? Got someone selling one local and trying to decide if it's worth it.

The front seat mounts don't sit flat on the floor so adding washers may not work if you add more than a couple.

Following. Have those on my short list of minor mods I’m considering. One of my only complaints about the 4Runner is the seating position. My legs fall asleep on long drives.

I've already got washers on there (and working!). Trying to decide if this is worth the extra scratch.

There is a cheaper version advertised on eBay, looks like metal spacer with 3d printed outer for around 40 bucks. Seems to do the same thing for way less

curious what is the purpose or advantage of raising the seats up?

im not that tall at about 5'10" & think the head clearance in 4th gen 4runners is already pretty low, getting in & out i have to duck my head a bit.

Not sure if that will work in the 4runner. The Desert Seat Jacker is Angled, like the spot on the floor where the seat connects for the 4Runner. Not sure that is any better than a stack of washers.

These spacers only lift the front edge of the seat. Your butt stays about the same height. Gives you more leg support if you're long legged (like me).

I can speak to this a bit. I have had mine installed for about two months now and will say it's definitely a significant difference in ride comfort and feel. The seating position I keep mine in is with the backside of the seat bottoming out in adjustment and the front up about halfway. The steering wheel sits a bit more into my lap based on where I like it positioned, aligning with the view of the gauges but still feels comfortable. At 6'1, the view through the window puts me looking directly out at about 1" below the AS1 line is on the windshield.

The passenger seat is completely transformed too allow more of a cradling angle to hold the passenger that than the bench eat feeling of an old truck, since that seat does not have much adjustment.

Overall I think they are worth the price of admission, making the seating position feel like your sitting up higher like in a truck but also allowing more lumbar support under your legs, feeling more holding and sporty. I wasn't sure I was going to like them or if they justified the cost, which is why it took me awhile to pull the trigger on them but I am glad I did.
