The amount of water in his airbox was soooo bad!!
On my 4Runner, my inner fender liner is cut for the front bumper I have, and water gets up into the air intake soooo much easier than a fully stock setup. Super vulnerable in deep stuff, but I don't take it in water/mud.

Any pics of the oem part that goes into fender that you need to cut off to attach to.
check out this video I found. I have it starting at the part in talking about. He mentions to just cut it off. Just wanted to know exactly where to cut it.

Cant find any pics on where to exactly cut it and the instructions show that part coming off and you dremel the plastic clips off. On my 03, its 1 piece.
Also whats the short rubber tube for?

I’m not familiar with the V6 engine(s) or the VVTI V8 engine in the 2006-2009 models, but I didn’t have to cut anything in my 2004 V8.
The piece that lets in air from inside the fender was easy to remove. I dremeled the raised portions of the round tube on the air box.
I don’t know what the short rubber tube is that you’re asking about. Maybe it’s unique to the V6 engine(s). For my V8, there is a pretty long S-shaped long tube in the snorkel kit that connects the air box directly to the snorkel. Two large hose clamps on the long rubber tube hold the three parts together.

$300 retail, same as the 5th Gen and 2nd/3rd Gen Tacoma price.
There will not be a brand logo on the main snorkel body, only the top air ram.
Many on this forum are running the 5th Gen snorkels, and heaps of Tacoma guys over on the other forum are running them too.
We're looking at the first month or two of 2021 for these to come in, so I'll update the first thread here with details as I get them!!
Edit, stock arrived last week of January 2021.

I've thought about it, but they keep selling through without any sale, so it wouldn't make sense. The next delivery is due on August 20th approximately.

The Dobinsons snorkel is already at a great price compared to the ARB Safari Snorkel. I bought mine right after I first saw it. There was also a deal back in February that I took advantage of.

Did anybody notice better acceleration or better mpg’s when used for daily driving?
Also, curious why Dobinsons 4runner tacoma and Tundra snorkels are $330 vs landcruisers are $300. Any thoughts?
Thanks ya’ll

No pics of where i cut the stock airbox. I think there is a lip that gets in the way. So, i just eyeballed it.
