Tpms sensors

Was wondering if anyone has changed their's yet. Mine are now 12 years old. Was thinking next tire change would be a good time.

I’m still on my first set, 16+ years now (2004).

I changed all of mine. 2 were dead, had them replaced, then a few weeks later, another died. I had them change the remainder so it wouldn't be an issue anymore.

Forgot to add, this is on a 2004.

Just had one replaced on my '08 and another went within two weeks. When I replace X-REAS, wheels and tires in 2021, I'll replace the three remaining originals.

Just one go bad a couple months ago on my 2004. Had them all replaced at discount tire. 6 year warranty on new ones.

That's a great warranty oldboy.
That seals it. I have like two more years on these tires. Will definitely replace them when the new tires go on.

Thanks everyone

The one I had replaced recently at a local shop was $84.95 for one OEM sensor. No labor charge, as I'd given the shop manager a twelve pack on a prior visit for an emergency job well done on my folks' rig.

I've had two go bad on my 2008 in the past year. After paying ~$80 to fix the first one, I deleted TPMS all together.

Been a few months and haven't regretted it one bit.

$325 for all 5 installed - includes sales tax. Great deal compared to Toyota dealer.

Done (bypassed) today. Thanks for the heads up! Didn't know it could be done. Didn't have the type of splice clip that other folks've used, so I used what I had - crimp connectors and leftover wire. A cheap, quick mod that saves me >$300 in new sensors.

Just installed a Pioneer DMH-2660NEX with iDatalink Maestro on our 2007 Sport. (shout out to Crutchfield.com)

One of the gauge screens available.

For $200 worth of sensors that last >12 years, ~ $17/year,
(I had the spare tire away from the T4R during the pic.)

Less worries for us parents with the daughter now driving.
(Yes, she knows how to use a tire gauge (pencil, digital, TPMS scanner)..

I shoulda gotten that unit. I just went with the cheapest one with CarPlay. Does that have an obdii reader too?

I figured it was Toyota bc my wife’s new Highlander doesn’t even give us the tire pressure

Wow! Would you mind sharing the details of how that TPMS data gets to the radio? What specific hardware, besides the radio and crutchfield harnesses, is required? Does it need a specific TPMS make/model or standard tunable non-OEM TPMSs work?

Thanks in advance for your consideration!
Lou
