Exclamation Alignment Cam Delete

How's it going fellas? So I have to do my lower control arms because my alignment cam bolts are seized. From what I understand I'm the only guy who's ever had this.... Anyway I was thinking about getting the toco tabs alignment cam delete kit and polyurethane bushings.... Question is if I get this setup will I be able to align my runner with stock UCA? I'll be getting adjustable uppers in the future but right now I can't afford it.... And my alignment is substantially out passenger side....

The way I understand these, you have to start with a good alignment in order to know which tab position to use.

This is what I understand from my research, I'm looking to get SPCs down the line here: So with the taco tabs, they set certain parameters of the alignment based on their settings. They hold the alignment better that the cam bolts, since they can't rotate, with the sacrifice being the LCA no longer has adjustment. Usually people are looking to hit a caster goal for tire clearance, ride, etc. Because the taco tabs aren't infinitely adjustable along the rotation of the cam bolts, you may throw other specs out while shooting for the goal. This is where an adjustable UCA can help to bring things back to where you want. Arms like the SPC set a desired caster angle with the UBJ clocking angle and then correct the camber with the slide thingy.

Calling in @Drift Monkey who may be able to help since hes got both SPCs and taco tabls. I believe hes also got some Cam Bolts for sale if you decide to go that route.

For LCA replacement, I have a writeup on cutting out my LCA, rebuilding with Whiteline Bushings, and reinstall with new OEM cam hardware: Whiteline Lower Control Arm Bushing Tutorial (120+ Pictures). Diablo Speed Demon Carbide Sawzall Blades for thick metal FTW, don't waste time or money on regular blades. I burnt up 5 regular blades first without any real process, those cam bolts are made of some hard metal haha. Let me know if you have any questions on the LCA replacement and/or rebuild process, I'd be glad to help.

Sawzall 'em out - most of us have had to do it haha.

You could be able to get a pretty decent alignment depending on what kinda of lift (if any) you have. Take a pic of your alignment bolts now and I can probably give you a good idea on what you could run your taco tabs at (or buy my lightly used stock cam bolts LOL).

i only have a slight lift belstein 5100 set in center w/ a half inch spacer in front with 2in additional ride height springs in rear. ill know by the end of today if I'm going to get standard cam adjustments or not... I really wanted the toco tabs tho... but its my daily driver if it will be unalignable... I wont be able to afford my upper arms for at least 6 months probably... right now my passenger front camber is way out (positive? bottom in top out)

i'll walk out to the garage and get photos here shortly

THANKS FOR BEING AWESOME GUYS!!!! I rarely post but I've been reading this forum since 2008....

I bought new 1Aauto LCAs knocked the bushings out and installed Super Pro bushings and Taco tabs and I have SPC UCAs. I don't off road just did it "because". I haven't gone in for an alignment, had one a couple years ago and used those settings as a baseline. Got an education on alignment doing it myself. I set the Tacos to neutral position and then played with the SPC and toe adjustment about 20 times before I settled on a setting that I'm happy with and again I haven't taken it in for an alignment check but not worried.

I'll sell you my used alignment cams/bolts. They could use a wire wheel or vinegar bath but they're functional. I'll throw them in a small priority box for $30. They'll hold you over until you can buy the UCA's and taco tabs. PM me if you're interested.

That would be positive camber. The front passenger cam bolt is probably set outwards. I’d need to pic of them to confirm but I’d be willing to bet this is the case.

Sorry for taking such a ridiculously long time to respond... Took me a very long time to find time to get that job done.... Not to mention I ran into A lot of problems but I got it.... Even though I knew it wouldn't be right I set everything to factory neutral well that's not working out so....

I tried to upload photos The first two are the driver side rear cam the last one is passenger rear cam they're the same on both sides just opposite.... it's pretty hard to tell from the photos everything is covered in rust encapsulator so I tried to get it at least somewhat visible.... The front cam bolts both sides were dead center....

Just for the record this thread was almost pointless I had apparently already made up my mind before I posted what I was going to do....

Yeah I had to cut all mine out all four were seized coincidentally they had the Diablo blades at the local hardware store so that was convenient.... I did try with a couple cheap ones at first yeah like an hour and didn't even get through one bolt.....

I know I’m a little late to the party, but do you still have these lying around? I’m heavily considering the taco tabs but have the same concern as OP, yet I don’t live in Utah any more and off road twice a year now, lol
Being told “LCA is bad can’t align” I’m going to cut the bolts and align my self.. can’t trust any shop now-a-days
