From doing a little digging it looks like I could just pretty easily replace the metal tube that spans from the driers to passenger side and have it all hidden behind the main bumper, but have not gotten far with it yet.

Haven't done anything yet except bend them away from the bumper slightly, since mine were almost touching it. But I plan on doing what you mentioned and re-routing that line (it's all the same line for both ends) so it's hidden and out of the way for when I add a winch.

How good is the metal they are using for the kits? I saw them and was super excited as it has to be so much cheaper than going to the yard, asking someone to plasma cut for you (unless you own one) and then hoping to get everything measured right, etc. These kits are all of that taken out.

Are they roughly $500 in flat format like shown? That's really cheap and wondering how well the metal does over time... Probably stupid questions, but I am very intrigued and love welding...

Check out their Instagram, they have some videos of trucks taking a big hit on the bumpers, and doesn't seem like it did a thing. It's standard 3/16" steel like what most other manufacturers use except for Demello who uses 1/8" with gussets.

I'm going to be doing one of these myself and I wouldn't have a problem hitting it on anything.

I recently bought one of these for my 4th gen, but do not have welding experience and was in over my head with assembly.

I attempted to have it welded together at a shop, however the quote was more than a different premade bumper.

Coastal would not let me return and I am currently looking to sell it in So Cal. If anybody knows someone that is interested in one for a discounted price, let me know!

I’d buy it but I just did my True North DIY kit a couple months back. Try posting on this thread.
