Scratches, hail, leather tears...

Looking at this 4th gen tomorrow to test drive, but concerned about a long scratch on the side, hail damage on the roof, and a tear in the leather seats. Any idea if a detailer can repair these and what it would cost ballpark? Will use for negotiating.

and sorry, haven't bought an auto in over 20 years - my 3rd gen has been keeping it real for a long time!

I wouldn't worry about the dents in the roof. They aren't that visible anyhow. Probably not repairable either. But I don't know PDR, which is what you need to talk to for those, not just a detailer.

Tear in the leather seat, you can get replacement single seat covers off ebay that are supposed to be a pretty good match. I think a few here on the forums have done that already.

The scratch should be an easy fix for a good detailer.

Agree with the above. And almost every 4th gen with leather eventually rips in that spot.

Frame looks clean. Check that 4L and the center diff lock work during the test drive.

Good luck!

A PDR Technician definetly can pull the hail dents out.....like said.. it would be costly.
