I was able to get a 04 V6 with 84,000 on it. I had been looking for quite a while and jumped on it the day it showed up on Craigslist. Drove 350 miles each way to look/get it. Not the best year but I could not resist. The usual problems with the 03-05 years have popped up. Bad instrument cluster so far. Got my fingers crossed on the head gasket. I loved my 03 and should not have gotten rid of it. Hindsight...

I found my 07 2 years ago with 70k on it. It was definitely a grandpa car, and from when services were done, it seems like it was a summer car in upstate NY (was skeptical on buying in the NE, but the frame was clean - and original, not touched up) But it was driven frequently enough, I'd be more worried about the barn finds where it's been sitting for 10 years

I'm sure they're out there. Especially late models. There are always enthusiasts buying the last year of a car and storing them.

Here is another great example that is as close as you'll see being sold regularly.
Toyota 4Runner 67k miles - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle...

Give it another 5-10 years and we might start seeing the time capsules showing up at auctions. But for now, they're not quite nostalgic enough.

A year ago I bought my 08' V8 Limited with 82K on the clock. I felt like that was a pretty good find. Obviously, more examples with fewer miles will pop up as time goes on.

As it has been mentioned before, be careful what you wish for. Super low mileage examples will suffer from dry seals, dry hoses, etc. and can make for an expensive time capsule.

I just had my 100k service last week. I've owned this truck since 2005 and have so far had no issues with it.

The stuff I want to do with my T4R, i'll probably end up at around the price of that stock $25k car fully purpose built with just about everything I can think of doing to it.
If it was a V8 it would be attractive but being a V6, might as well just get a 5'er

2007 with 53,000

Yep! My father has a 2007 Limited V8 AWD. It only has 53,000 miles on it. It still as the decals on the roof rack showing where to place the rails to minimize wind noise.

I probably shouldn't say this, but I am retired on medicare and seldom go out of state anymore. less than 50,000 miles on my 07' SE V6. yes, they can bury me in it.

There are dozens of digitally rolled-back cars for sale in San Jose. Tell me what year car you want and the mileage and I will get one for you. You want an 08 4runner v8 with 11 miles on the odometer? I have at least 5 I can get for you in a day...

Seriously, I would not trust anything with super low miles. Almost all of those "too good to be true" trucks are digitally rolled back or have swapped instrument panels.

Most of Mine are Low Miles

Looking at all my T4R, most are low mileage for an 17 or 18 year old truck!

#2 2003 2WD SR5 V8 277,000 miles
#3 2003 AWD Sport V8 139,000 miles
#4 2004 AWD Sport V8 TRD Supercharged 63,000 miles
Father's 2007 AWD Limited V8 53,000 miles

Looks like you got a true unicorn. Extreme low mileage BUT had been used consistently. That's the key to the risk. Is a low mileage vehicle used twice a week for a 3 mile trip? Or did it sit for years cold? You sound like you got a gem.

My '08 4x4 only has 96K on it. Not exactly a time capsule, but still pretty low considering its age.
