I was getting low resting volts (around 12v ) and around 13.8v while on the road so added diode to trick alt sensor and now getting higher resting and charging volts (aprox 0.5 higher volt)

It will fit w/out stretching or changing anything. Yes you have to put it far back and towards edge as seen in pics.
