Mystery Threaded Hole in Transmission

Can you guys help me solve a mystery??
Could you please check to see if this hole filled by something on your 4R's? It goes straight through the housing, exposing the torque converter. I can't imagine it isn't supposed to be plugged up. The diagrams don't even show a hole there. I thought a bracket for the transmission cooler lines went there, but all of the brackets are accounted for. TIA!

The third picture shows a bracket being there, but both a VIN check and a visual check indicate that particular bracket doesn't go on my model.

Which model trans is this? Might help looking through the service manuals.
You can always just plug it with a bolt if its not needed.

GRN21#. I'm not as familiar with trans specs, so let me know if there's more info I can find for you.
It's an '04 Limited V6 4WD.
I only have the Chilton manual, but it didn't have anything helpful in it.

Yeah, I didn't want to plug it up without asking first, in case it needed a breather or something, but you and others have said that a bolt will be fine there, so I can feel better about that. Thank you! Think it needs a plug/gasket? or just any bolt will do?

Just thinking out loud, but it might be for a Toyota SST tool to hold the torque converter in place while you take off the bolts. I've never taken off an auto transmission but I'd assume it's not easy while it's trying to spin.

haha yeah I imagine that'd be quite difficult! It might be! Reason is telling me it's gotta be plugged up somehow in the meantime, though.

That would be the A340F Transmission. I am looking in the service manual but dont see anything. Maybe I need to look harder.

Oh, sorry! Was just going off of what the parts website seemed to be calling it! Is it the same thing as the GRN215?

If you don't mind! I really appreciate it. Is it the Toyota service manual you're checking?
