VSC Off mod clicking sounds

I've recently finished setting up the VSC Off mod [1] on my 4Runner [2] where you ground the wire from underneath the glove box. It works exactly as advertised, I managed to do 360s around a pole stuck in the snow.

Although the VSC is clearly off, there is something clicking and clacking underneath the glove box, maybe the brakes as well. What is this and how do I turn it off?

My process is:
- be in 4H
- flip switch (grounding the wire)
- VSC Off and center diff lights turn on
- switch to 2H
- VSC Off and center diff lights are blinking
- have fun drifting

To disable, flip switch back THEN switch into 4H.

[1] VSC off mod: VSC Off, ATRAC On Mod complete!

I did the same mod just a month ago and I found same thing. In 2wd it doesn't work. Throttle still shuts off while wheel speed sensor registers slippage. In 4wd you get clicking because A-TRACK is trying to play it's role of electronic diff lock simulation. So this mod does not disable traction system 100%, only vsc and only in 4wd.

At first I thought that this mod sucked but then I realized that 4wd drift is more controlled than 2wd. So I kinda happy with it

It disables VSC for me in 2H if I flip the switch in 4H and then change into 2H.
