Looks awesome! I have the same color but 110k miles.... lol

Should be easy to find something bigger. MKV Supra to match your MKIV? haha

I'm looking to do a swap within the year on mine, so I'm in it for the long haul.

Not half bad for a front yard paint job on a windy day.. got a little trash in thr clear so I may wet sand and buff if I feel up to it later, or may just leave it.

I know a 2nd gen plate bumper will fit a 4th gen with modification (don’t recall exactly what) so it should work. Plus you’re handy with fabricating stuff so I’m sure you’ll have no problems. Looking forward to the “finished” product.

Thanks man. Yea regardless I believe the T4R bumper is the better start. At least I know it will mount and fit up to everything in stock form. I don't anticipate MAJOR modifications to get lined up with the fender, but time will tell. Worst case scenario I may end up having to cut the ends a bit and add some additional plate, but we'll see, baby steps here

Got some unexpected early news yesterday regarding the McNeil fiberglass fenders. Looks like they're done and have shipped via GreyHound from Cali. No idea how long the transit will take, but I wasn't expecting them to be complete until at least the 6th of March per their original estimate. Definitely cannot wait to get them so I can get everything off the car and get the swap going.

Crossing my fingers that the door-fender gap is on the smaller side of what I have been seeing across these swaps.. some are absolutely atrocious, others came out just slightly larger than factory and something I could definitely live with. Really hoping to not have to fiberglass anything.. but I have material and experience with it in case it comes to it.. time will tell, can't wait!

on a different note, the member buying my front end is also picking up my swing out as well as the roof rack, so I am not scrambling to get everything off and get the first iteration of my own rack on the car. With the current metal prices doing crazy stuff, I wasn't able to get as low as I originally thought, but still not bad. If anyone is interested, it looks like it would be in the $650 range, of course you'd have to do your own painting of the side rails

Unlike my current prinsu rack, I opted to not have built-in feet on the side rails, but rater incorporate a mounting bracket to the cross bars. This will give me quite a bit of adjustment both left/right as well as front/back to really set it like I want. Hopefully the idea works out.. I should also mention that my current cross bars are at 47inches. In order to not have to cut down 10 pieces of cross bar by 1 inch, or pay someone $2-5/cut during purchasing of the rails, I decided to try the rack 1" wider at 48". Thats only .5" per side and looks like I have plenty of room to spare.

Also, one of the main reasons I looked into changing to my own design was providing different mounting points on the side rails. I didn't like having to mount half of my components through slots. So the initial idea I had was to provide holes that I could install rivet nuts into to give me a threaded location down the length of the rack. The last thing to finalize is the exact location and number of cutouts I want prior to sending it off to the laser. This also allowed me to not have the long rails just laser cut without having to be handled for bending the feet, thus cutting some cost.

The coastal rear bumper will be the last to go on, and I also can't wait to get it together. Since my tire carrier will be gone as of March 13th i'll need to get it together pretty quick before I hit the trails later in the month.. I opted just for the bare bumper with no swing outs since I felt very comfortable building my own onto it after my swing out build. Plus it saved me like 700 bucks and I already have just about all the material.. I am finalizing the design of it, but came out looking not far off from Coastals own swing out they offer.

Didn't think I'd get around to it this fast.. but had a few spare hours and weather ended up being good so I decided to take off my blitz bumper and get going with the fitment of the coastal front.

Wasn't expecting to make as much progress.. but it went together quicker than anticipated.

Ita all tacked together for tge most part and needs to be pulled off to run all the weld beads before cleaning up, but its together.

Took a bit of a gamble with welding it together prior to fitting fenders and other parts, but the idea was to get a baseline of the bumper in place for the factory front end and work back from it to get the lights, fenders and hood in place where it needs to be. The fenders being fiberglass should a bit easier to modify if needed, but worst case scenario ill take a grinder to it for more serious adjustments. Cant wIt for the fenders to deliver to really get the swap going !

3 hours into the bumper so far. No complaints at this point, went together pretty straight forward. Peobably could have done the mating edges better with more time, but for 3 hours of work completely by myself id say its as close as I need it to be. There wi be plenty of grinding to do anyhow to get it all ready for paint.

Planning on doing a color matched top half with a black lower section but haven't decided in that fully yet.

Well, as usual, I started off with a VERY optimistic time frame aemravan's build thread - project TacoRunneraemravan's build thread - project TacoRunner

The bumper is fully welded now and I started the clean up process. This time around I am about 4 hours in with welding all the stuff.

Did my best to keep the exterior welds to a minimal to reduce grinding time, but not enough experience for that yet. The structural interior welds I was pretty pleased with, the amount of exterior welds is not so good. But nothing a little (well..quite a lot actually lol) grinding and body filler won't fix.

Id day i have another solid day of grinding and body filler finishing and then another full day of pulling it off for primer and paint.

Great work so far, can’t wait for the final product on that front end! Hope the new front end body lines up with that bumper, or at least close enough since you knocked it out first lol.

Wish I had 1/10th of those skills, the equipment, tools, and knowledge to do myself. As of now a big job for me was installing my lift and minor electrical stuff. My soon to be installed Victory Blitz front steel bumper (preassembled and powder coated of course) and Victory roof rack bolted on and all of this has been new territory for me.
