Best place to introduce smoke?

Hi all, I been wanting to do a smoke test to check for vacuum leaks but am not sure where's the best place to introduce smoke into the system. Saw a youtube video of a guy shooting it into the air intake just upstream of the MAF but I'm finding it hard to get a good seal on that large of an opening.
Any ideas?
