Lug Nut and Wheel Question...

I just bought a set of 2019 or 2020 SR5 4Runner wheels to replace my 08’ wheels. I remember seeing something about changes with lug nuts. These are the only lug nuts that cross reference 08’ to 19’. Are these correct?

Also, has anyone seen decent pics of these wheels painted black? Debating on whether to waste the time or not

Paint them black and order these, the summit ones are pricy at $52 for 10.

I have a set of those 2019/2020 rims for my ’04, and I was able to use the stock lug nuts. The only time I’ve had to buy new lug nuts was when I bought aftermarket rims that required conical/tapered lug nuts. The ’04 OEM flat lug nuts that I own have worked with both sets of 5th gen rims that I own. I have my original lug nuts on my 4Runner in the pic below.

I haven’t seen any pics of your SR5 rims painted black.

Yeah...I might paint them black. Might look good.

I can actually get the Dorman locally with family pricing. Just needed to confirm the part number.

Thanks!

Nice score on the rims. How did you come across them? I looked into replacing mine as they are all flaky and corroded. At $500+ I decided that I have more time than money and will be refinishing them myself.

Well, those look pretty good in black! I have a bright white 4Runner...so it would really pop with gloss black.

Craigslist. Guy at work said he would sell me another set for the price of one at brand new cost. So I should have 8 of these soonish.

We have a silver one and I'm pushing to refinish the rims black but the Wife isn't on board yet. I'm sure I could put a call-out here for pics of OEM rims painted black so she can browse and see how nice they look.

Talked to the guy at work. $200 for 4 off his 2021 Runner. He's pretty sure they're what I need.

Think I'll have any luck trying to sell 3 of them for spares? Or should I just hang onto them?
