Will these 2021 Tacoma wheels/tires fit my 08?

Imgur: The magic of the Internet

6x5.5 or 6x139.7

265/70R16

Pretty much 99.9% sure they do, but wanting to confirm before I buy them.

Thanks. I can't find the specs for these wheels to check the offset/etc, so I wasn't 100% certain.

It's similar to the original wheels. All 6 lug Toyota wheels will fit any other 6 lug Toyota. Offsets are slightly different between them but not enough to be worried about. For example, the Sequoia/Tundra rims on my 2003.

Thanks. Now I'm just verifying the 16" wheels will clear my breaks. Mine came stock with 17".

If your front calipers are stamped 13WG, you have the smaller brakes and 16” rims will fit.

I was “lucky”. My 04 Limited came with 17” rims, but has the smaller brakes that allow 16” rims. I have one set of 16” rims/tires.

Is that stamped on the inside or outside of the calipers?

Aside from the specs, the caliper size can be an issue as others have explained already. Here are the specs for those 16" wheels.
Btw, I was struggling to find Toyota wheel specs for my 08 too and came across this site which helped.

Autorimshop - 2020 Toyota Tacoma 16in Wheel Specs

Just search for the specific OEM wheel once you select the specific vehicle model.

Regarding offsets, I have used the following website to visual how new tires will fit. Probably overkill in your case but it can be very helpful when going with bigger tires or changing offsets.

Wheel Offset Calculator

I put your current wheel setup and the new setup in there and got the following.

Hope this helps...
