How to remove passenger kick panel?

I'm in the middle of a stereo install, and don't know what this thing is, but it seems to be holding the kick panel in place. Do I simply pull hard like on the driver side? Thanks, guys.

you need to take that black thing off..... i don't remember if it screws or not. Take that off then you just pull the kick panel off.

Unscrew that guy like a nut then pull the panel back towards the rear of the vehicle. After you've removed the doorsill plate.

The little cover (with the arrow in your picture) will just push back on but it has to be unthreaded for removal.

Thanks, guys. I didn't realize it was threaded. Mine twists so easily, that I didn't think to unscrew it.

You have to use the super secret lefty loosey technique to remove it. Sometimes they get pretty weak and you can pop them on and off.

Hate to revive and old thread ... but I somehow lost that little black fastener. Has anyone every tried to order one? I searched online to no avail, not even sure what it's called. Thanks.

I'll try this in an old thread before starting a new one.

I took off the round little plastic thing and the kick plate, but when I pull the panel back towards the rear of the vehicle, it doesn't move.

It seems attached at the top of the kick plate. Is there some clip there that has to come lose and I have to pull really hard (I put medium pressure on it and it didn't budge) or is there another step I am missing?

Thanks!
