Lightbulb List of grease points?

Do we have a sticky somewhere that shows/tells ALL available grease points and fittings? Suspension, front end components, driveshaft, differential, other.

Wanting to cover all these bases as a gift to my 07 having now 214k.

Grease zerks from the factory:

2wd will have 0

4wds will have 6
  • 1 on each front driveshaft u-joint (2 Total)
  • 1 on the front driveshaft slip joint
  • 1 on each rear driveshaft u-joint (2 Total)
  • 1 on the rear driveshaft slip joint

Optionally
  • Aftermarket LBJs and UBJs may have grease zerks
  • Aftermarket front Sway bar bushings may have grease zerks
  • Aftermarket outer tire rod ends may have grease zerks
  • LCAs or UCAs with polyurethane bushings may have grease zerks, or could be drilled and tapped for zerks
  • Rear trailing arms with polyurethane bushings may have grease zerks, or could be drilled and tapped for zerks
  • Rear Panhard Bars with polyurethane bushings may have grease zerks, or could be drilled and tapped for zerks
Control arms, trailing arms, and panhard bars with factory style rubber bushings won't benefit from grease zerks because the rotation comes from internal torsion in the bushings, and not around a sleeve like with polyurethane bushings

On the topic of lubrication, the replaceable fluids are
  • Engine Oil (5w-30)
  • Coolant (Toyota SLL Pink or any Red/Pink Asian Vehicle coolant)
  • Brake Fluid (DOT 4)
  • Power Steering Fluid (Dexron ATF)
  • Transmission Fluid (Toyota WS or WS Rated Fluid)
  • Front Diff Gear oil (75w-90 or 85w-140)
  • Rear Diff Gear Oil (75w-90 or 85w-140)
  • Transfer Case Gear Oil (Fancy Toyota LF or SAE 75w or 75w-90)
  • Wiper Fluid (if you want to count that lol)

For U-Joints: Lithium base chassis grease NLGI No. 2

For Slide Yoke: Molybdenum disulphide lithium base chassis grease NLGI No. 2

I know a lot of people that use the same grease for both. That being said, the Moly grease will create a film for the slide yokes that is beneficial.

Just a note that Toyota TSB EG018-06 advises the use of 5W20 motor oil for various engines from model year 2006 on, including the GR and UZ series that power '06-'09 4Runners. I've used that viscosity for a year plus with no issues.
