Anybody have experience with Total Chaos Long Travel Kits?

I have a 2003 Sr5 that I am wanting to lift and build up later this year. I have been looking at long travel kits primarily the Total Chaos Long Travel Kits.
Just wondering if anybody has experience with any long travel kits.

Thanks for looking
Nate

I have their +2" standard kit which I definitely would not recommend unless you don't need ground clearance, doing purely desert wheeling, and are on a budget. This goes for their +3.5" standard kit as well.

If you want to try for a stock look and stock fenders get their +2" expedition kit.
If you want max performance (wheel travel) and you can get the rear width to match the added front width, or don't care about mismatched widths get the +3.5". Especially if you're okay with fiberglass fenders.

Might want to cross-compare with Dirt King as they are pretty similar.

I have had their +2" Race Kit since 2015 (which has since evolved into their expedition Kit) and I love it. It allows quite a bit more clearance under the arms compared to their standard kit (as Inv4drZm mentioned).

I didn't want to run fiberglass so I felt the +2" kit was perfect. It allows me to run 255/80/17's with a body lift and no rubbing. Also, with a pair of spidertrax in the rear your track width is so similar you don't notice the difference.

The rig definitely isn't as stable on the highways with no sway bar and softer springs. Total Chaos does now have a +2" LT sway bar that I am looking to add.

What exactly are you looking at the kit for? It is definitely overkill for most peoples purposes. Also, anything specifically you are interested in knowing? It is worth mentioning that this is not my daily driver and if it was I wouldn't recommend long travel.

Here are a few photos from a trip to Death Valley a few weeks ago. Most people wouldn't be able to spot its a long travel rig, but you really notice a difference in what it handles when it hits the dirt. Safe to say I cruised through things at a different speed and comfort level compared to the other 4th gens I was with.

I just got a 2006 V6 RWD Sport and want to do some sort of travel kit for going fast in the dessert. Would suggest anything from this system? It's my DD. I've also seen info about mid-travel kits being an option?

One thing people overlook with LT is the rear suspension. Once you put a front system like TC on there, the rear suspension won't be able to match that extra travel, and it won't be able to keep up.
The other thing is the characteristics of hwy handling. It takes some folks awhile to get used to it.
This is a Tacoma World thread devoted to LT logistics.
