Daystar leveling kit questions.
So I have the leveling kit for my 03 with Xreas. My questions are is there a certain spec. For aligning the vehicle after the kit has been installed? Or just align it to factory spec? In terms of caster and camber. The other question is, if I mark my LCAs when installing the kit and make sure the marks line up, then after torque them down to spec would I even need an alignment?

Do what you plan to do and in addition measure your toe before and then after and adjust as necessary after. Everything will change a little bit.

Would it be best to take it to an alignment shop afterwards? I used to work at a tire shop. I’m a diesel tech now but by no means have I ever aligned anything. I understand the concept however would it be best to take it to my bud at the tire shop who has access to top of the line alignment machines?

I would if for nothing more than to check the alignment to be sure it where it's needs to be.

Any time you do work to the front suspension and or steering it's best to insure the alignment is still correct.

Sounds right. By any chance would you know if after a lift the alignment specs should still be the same as factory? Or is there a certain spec now that the suspension is leveled differently?

Get it aligned to factory spec when done. They may have to compromise caster/camber and get it as close as possible. Toe will be no issue. If it wanders at highway speed you'll need to consider upper control arms to get caster back in spec. Also note many lower control arm eccentric bolts are frozen and will need to be cut out and replaced to preform the alignment.

And since you're from Chicago there's a good chance your adjust hardware is frozen unless it's been adjusted before and greased.

Yeah My Lower control arms are newer. About 3-4 years old and I’ve gotten it aligned I’d say about a year and a half ago. So I’m not too worried about that.
