What are the specs/dimensions of the M12 bolts?

M12x1.25x 30-45
They can be tricky to find. 1.25 isn't that common in m12. Took me 3 or 4 different lowes/home depots to find them.

You will likely have gaps, just try to even out gaps as much as possible. Light tacks so you can bend pieces to align them and worse case cut tacks.

Pic 1- part 7s welded on. Use a bungie to pull up on ends

Next steps are to remove the bumper and start welding. Do series of stitches on back. You done need to weld it all the way. I do weld the whole winch area though.

I then turn my welder down a little for the front side as I want the weld to be small and minimize grinding. I do straight stringer beads in the seams. If you have small seams I suggest opening those up with a cut off disk. You only need to cut a slot half way through, this will keep from have seam cracks show after grinding.

Learn to grind, it is important. There are videos, but basically use a low angle and continuous motion, be careful not to dig or only grind a small area.

After grinding I use a palm sander to really get things smooth and my edges crisp.

How to do the tubing.

You have a couple options...

If you are doing just the center tube you can set it pretty vertical... center it, place it forward on the bumper as much as possible. Then tack just the front. Now open your hood... it will likely touch... bend the tube forward for clearance and add some tacks.

I find that in order to weld tube and have it look good, if you do overlapping tacks it gives a clean look and is easier. It's super hard to run a bead on the inner area. This method will look better.

How I palm sand. Flat surface to flat surface. 40 and 60 grit is really all you need.

Also I bought these weld in tip tie tabs from TMR customs to keep my wiring clean.

To fit side hoops bar needs tilted forward really far. I wanted it vertical

There is a unused bolt hole on inner fender near passenger firewall. Just mounted it there.
