Advice on DIY intake tube
So Im not paying $300-450 for a CARB performance intake. I have a K&N FIPK on my 05 Lexus is300. Works great. Had one on my 01 TRD Tacoma great too. I used K&N drop in filters on a 85 Toyota 4wd truck, 86 Nissan 4wd truck, and my wifes 08 4Runner 4wd Limited - all worked great, with no problems. With the 2nd and third generation of Lexus IS250s and 350s, the best choice was a drop in filter and a after market intake tube. Open filters, cold air setups, etc., didnt do anything at times, or sometimes lost power.
So the stock tube of the 4Runner is a bit corrugated, and has to be causing some turbulence. In addition what is that little canister against the fender?
Looking to put something like this AEM on and not waste a bunch of money. Any suggestions on parts to use to help the wifes care breath easier. Cant
imagine its too hard to slap together.
