Parts interchangeability

I understand the 4Runner is built on a Hilux chassis but with coil springs rather than leaf at the back, is that correct?

I am just trying to find out what parts that are available in the UK easily would fit my import, without having to import parts from Japan ($$$$$$).

I have a feeling the FJ Cruiser would be a good candidate for compatible parts, especially struts/shocks/steering/etc.

Are any of you Toyota genuises able to confirm?

Cheers!

Yes - rear is a separate strut and spring and front is a coil over shock

For suspension parts, your best bet is an FJ.

Enter a country and then a part number at the first site and it should give interchangeable parts results.

The second site is for the USA but maybe of some help too find interchangeable part numbers.
