3in lift-xreas is shot

I looked over the thread with suspension info but I wanted some input from the group. I have an '04 fulltime 4wd with a rough country 3" spring lift on OE everything. It also has xreas, which is shot. I realize replacing the xreas is way too expensive so I'm switching to traditional shocks/struts. I heard your "run-of-mill Monroe shocks/struts will make it feel like a road wagon.
What can I use with my 3" lift with stock springs? Bilstein 5100's? OME? I want a similar ride to the xreas. Thanks for your input.

Bilstein 5100's would work. What's your actual lift in the rear? Were they 3" front and back or a more typical 3 front/2 back setup? That will effect your options.

Dobinsons would also be a good option with that amount of lift. I'm surprised the XREAS survived a 3" lift honestly.
