Need Help on Footwell Mod for 2004 4Runner

I've been trying to figure this out for a few hours now re-reading J.A.'s tutorial and I cannot figure it out. I am getting no readings on my multimeter in any position the switch is on and I feel like its a simple fix that I am overthinking. Hopefully the forum can help.

Top prong is connected to ground where dash vent is for constant ground

Middle prong is down to floor which will connect to negative for all lights

Bottom Prong is connected to the 12v- Red and green wire

And the 12V+ is coming from the red wire with grey dashes which is supposed to be Dome Relay 12V

And yes, I reconnected the battery when testing. Tried it with ACC on and the car on and no difference was found. No power to the two red butt connectors where the first driver footwell light would go.

I don’t know all the details of this, but I know for example with the tpms bypass mod, the wire color changes for different years of the 4runner (I’m not positive but I I think for tpms the 03-05, 06/07 and 08-09’all have different wire color configs

You may have to find someone’s write up who’s done it with an 04 or trace that the wires you use go to the same place on the harness as desired

Turns out it was a simple fix, the Scotchlok didn't puncture the wire shielding. Now it all works and looks great!
