Porta-Jump Portable Jump start
Has anyone hearf of this device? It basically plugs into your cigarette lighter and claims to be able to give you a jump start if you have a dead battery but in my testing a dome light would not even come on let alone start.

Are these just gimmick devices?

My company sent me one of those that is also supposed to be a flashlight/phone/laptop/mp3 charger but I have never been able to get it to jump start my vehicles. The flashlight does work and it is from the sharper image if your is the same as mine.
