LED Cluster, HVAC and accessory customization work
Tired of your stock orange Speedo Cluster? Maybe even the constant battle with HVAC display bulbs going out, or flickering. Well I would be happy to help you out.
There have been several of us on this forum over the years that have done this from time to time. I have done this for a few years. I take a few jobs on every once in awhile to help you out and to help me fund other projects I am working on. I receive a lot of requests for this service, so I have finally decided to start my own thread to hopefully help you and me.
If you have been thinking about this, please let me know. I can work through this thread with questions or comments. Once you decide to move forward with the process we can go to PM's. After you may decide to send your parts to me, we will go to Texting, this way I can send pics and answer questions during the process.
On to the important stuff!
- LED FAQ's
- I buy all supplies, LED's, Paint, Needles, Reverse polarization film etc.
- I will warranty the LED's and the work, as long as you own the T4r, Unfortunately I will not pay the shipping for warranty.
- Prices range from $50 - $300 depending on the work you want completed.
- You will pay for all shipping, a return label should be in the shipped box
- Work will be a 7-10 day turn around. If you send to me on Tuesday you will receive back in 7-10 days.
- T4r will drive and operate without the cluster, HVAC and buttons. Just need to make sure you have gas and set to a good temperature.
I typically do work on the weekends due to my normal job. However, sometimes things come up on weekends. I try to not have more than one job going at a time. So scheduling can be a challenge.
I will give some examples of costs to give you an idea.
For a Limited that wants all orange gone, Needles painted, Reverse polarization, Steering controls, Window Switch, cup holder lights etc. It would be $300, not including shipping. An SR5 for the same service, $275.
For a SR5, that wants the Background only changed on the cluster, $50
Each item that needs work has different fee's.
I typically do White and Blue Combo's. Those are the LED's I keep in stock. If your wanting something else, all RED, or some other colors. I will need to order those items prior to the work.
That is all I can think of now. If you have questions, please ask.

Thanks for looking at everything above and below this post!
I am making this post separate to make sure this gets read.
I do this as a hobby, and to make a little money for other things. I appreciate everyone's patience as I work to help you get what you want for your awesome ride.
There will be times I may not answer very fast or respond every few minutes. I do have the right to refuse service due to impatient or unruly potential customers. I say all of this, because I have had to block people or tell them I can't help them.
I have worked with 30-40 fantastic owners and hope to keep adding more!

CAN"T BELIEVE I found this thread! The cluster is the only thing I hate about my 4Runner. I can't see it. Can't see it in the day, can't see it at night. In comparison, my 2009 Honda Pilot with it's bright white cluster at night is so bright I have to dim it sometimes.
Gonna read through the rest of your post; if I can get that cluster out, I'm gonna send it to ya!

The left side LED of my ODO display has gone out. Mostly likely a bad LED. Oh well.
Anyone looking to do this work with their cluster, HVAC, etc, do it with
S p a r k y, I completely recommend him!
