Brake line question + upgrade?
My front brake lines popped while in traffic and the pedal went straight to the floor, so now i'm in need of replacing both my brake lines and pants. It's currently at my friends house so I don't have easy access to it, but I had a few questions...
1. Does anyone know how long the OEM front brake line is? I biked over to Oriley's and they had a centric line, where the rubber hose was 6.5" long and had an overall length of 9". This seems significantly shorter than the OEM one, can anyone confirm? My research finds that the oem one runs 10" long.
2. I've read that the OEM line is good for up to a 3" lift. Is this true? Or should I bite the bullet and go for extended lines?
3. Is SS worth the upgrade for offroading? Getting conflicting info, where it is better, but since you can't see the damage done, it can be quite terrifying.
Thanks!

Not sure what suspension you're running up front, but most of the entry level aftermarket suspensions (ex 5100s) don't really extended the front travel much, just change static ride height. So an OEM length line would be fine for that.
They probably want an arm and a leg for the OEM lines, so extended SS lines would probably do the trick fine.

The SS lines are good. You can get stoptech ss lines from Amazon for like $50 prime shipping lol. Pretty cheap and they should last the life of the car.

I do braided SS lines on all my vehicles in lieu of rubber.

Does Stoptech have the center rear lines too? I only found they have the front and rear. Goodridge has a set of 6 for the center rear lines. Might just bite the bullet and get the Goodridge 2-21186

I would look at extended lines for the rear. Some suspensions like dobinsons offer 12" rear shocks, which need extended rear lines to not hyperextend and destroy the lines
I'm running the apache off road rear lines and stock front lines

I grabbed the centers from Wheeler’s Offroad. Stop Tech only sells the outers through Summit.
