2UZ-FE V8 Leaking from oil filter adapter?
I was wondering if anyone has seen this issue before, as it seems very uncommon. There are steady drips of oil coming from the Engine Oil Filter Adapter while the engine is running. Oil comes from behind the bolt pictured, my guess is from the o-ring between the adapter and block.

I'm at 373xxx mileage and don't have any leaks at this location. For that matter, I have no leaks anywhere on the engine, knock on wood.
I wonder if the O ring is indeed the cause of your leak?

Is there any chance this could be the oil pressure sensor leaking? I had a good leak on my '05 when I bought it last year, and the dealer even noted it was the oil pressure sensor when they were doing the timing belt and water pump.
I changed it with an O'Reilly brand part out of haste, but I'd do OEM if I could go back. It was pretty easy to get to, just behind the filter, but you need a deep 22mm, I think?. As always, my biggest challenge was unclipping the plug connection. I still have another oil leak somewhere, looks like the driver valve cover, but I don't lose a noticeable amount between OCs. I tightened my VCGs bolts with a 1/4 ratchet as some weren't even finger-tight.
It's funny, too, because I had just changed the oil pressure sensor on my '98 and it was the main cause for me losing almost a quart every 1-2 weeks. Fixed my issue.

It was the indicated gasket that was causing the issue. Total pain in the ass as you have to drain the cooling system to get the oil filter housing out.
340k on this engine. No leaks now.

I'm glad you got the leak fixed!!
But just for future reference to help others that may end up having this issue, could you explain why the cooling system has to be drained to replace the gasket?

There are cooling lines attached to the oil filter adapter, as shown in the diagram.

I know this is an old thread, and i apologize...but I found a relevant video with step by step for this exact repair. I believe my 03 is doing the same exact thing, as I have little puddles from time to time on the ground, and it looks like someone lathered up the undercarraiage like a thanksgiving turkey before sticking it in the oven.

Thank you, bookmarked for future reference, I was wondering why OP couldn't just clamp the hoses instead of draining. This videos shows that you can just do that. Should be a pretty simple repair if mine starts to leak.

Had the same leak. The old gasket was about as hard as a rock when I finally got it out.
