Is this CV Axle OEM?

Local guy posted this freshly rebooted CV Axle for a very nice price and says it came off his 07 4Runner. I’m guessing this would fit my 03 4Runner. Just wondering if anyone could tell whether this is an OEM axle or aftermarket?

Looks like OEM, it has the squared inner joint vs. aftermarket normally has round joints on each side.

It is OEM. I actually got 2 freshly rebooted OEM CVs and 2 front shocks with springs for 40$! The guy was a super nice dude and a fellow 4th Gen owner. He saved me a lot of dough and time. Thankfully I stumbled across his post.

I don't think you can really tell if it's OE from a visual inspection. From what I can see, your pics look just like the Cardone Economy option at RockAuto.

Nothing wrong with Cardone, IME. The NAPA Maxdrive CV I picked up a few years ago was made by Cardone, per the warranty document. It was visually identical to the OE CV it was replacing. IIRC, neither part had any markings at all...part number/logos/this end up...nothing. Could be a case, like lots of components on any given vehicle, that Toyota/NAPA/Cardone are sourcing from the same manufacturer., at least some of the time.

For a really clear example of 3rd party suppliers...I also have a few BMWs in the fleet. With BMW parts, you can buy BMW branded and pay the BMW tax (for supposed tighter QA requirements and quality) or choose your aftermarket brand correctly and literally get a part where the BMW logo was clearly ground off before it was tossed in the non-BMW box. And pay less than half of the cost for the BMW branded box. :-)
