V8 Hitch - RIGd Ultraswing (Multifit)

Calling on the support of any 4th Gen V8 owners with the factory style tubular hitch. I'm not sure if this was standard on all V8s or just those with the towing package.

According to RIGd "The 4Runner 4th/5th Gen 4Runner version will only work on bolt-on factory hitch tucked into the bumper (V8 models with lower hitch will not fit)" They recommend getting the UltraSwing Multi-fit version for use on this style hitch receiver. This version appears to have relocated the latch to the outside and the hitch has multiple holes it in.

Also, according to a chat I had with RIGd "The V8 4th Gen 4Runner with tow package was spec'd with the drawbar style with that sits below the bumper. This makes the UltraSwing sit too low to operate the latch. The hitch pin hole on the 4Runner version is in a different spot and doesn't line up with the drawbar hitch either."

So the question is, does anyone have a 4Runner V8 with towing package hitch and a RIGd Ultaswing? Whether you have the 4Runner version or the Multifit I would love to see some photos of any clearance issues and how far off the rear of the truck it sticks out.

you should be able to tell by looking at what hitch you have. if you do have the tow package hitch you can just replace it with the regular one (which will increase your departure angle). post up a pic of your hitch if you're unsure.

Thanks. I’m not questioning which hitch I have. I’m questioning how well the various RIGd options fit and how far they stick out. I want to see if it’s necessary to spend an additional $200 on the V6 hitch.
