Head gasket concerns

I noticed the other day that my coolant reservoir was really low, as in nothing in the tank. Got a little concerned because I don't know if 05 1GR was before or after the redesign and I'm not sure if anyone knows it for sure. So I topped it off and the next day, back to almost nothing. I had Toyota flush the coolant at around 205 thousand, and what's in there is still pretty and pink. Oil changes aren't cloudy, just did a cold start and there was no puff of white smoke either. And the glycerin I smell I think is because I didn't use a funnel when pouring new coolant so I spilled a bit in the engine bay. I'm at 231,000 now and the only symptoms I'm having are the coolant loss and when I start it It sounds bubbly in the dash, but the AC is always on too. Not running hot, no sluggishness, just the coolant loss and bubble sound that I've witnessed.

I know they make tests for this situation but I'm currently on a tight budget and I'm hoping that the stress involved with that is just causing me to psych myself out. Especially knowing that the head gasket failure really isn't that common from what I can tell.

I would start by pressure testing the cooling system. Don't focus on the head gasket until you rule out a simple coolant leak elsewhere. And don't drive much until you do this as driving around with low coolant levels can lead to an overheat - which leads to much more costly issues.

i don't think it's a head gasket. how fast does it leak? check any area with pinkish crust. also, you can have your oil tested just to make sure it's not leaking inside. it could be leaking just behind your water pump. do you smell a foul odor inside the cabin?

It can drain the reservoir in no time. The weird thing is that there is always some coolant left in the bottom of the reservoir, which makes me believe it's not the head gasket and the leak is in the reservoir itself. But it only happens when it's driven.
