265/65R17 on 7" wheels - OK?

2004 SR5 V6. Ran across some newer 17x7 +15mm OEM wheels and bought em. My current OEM's are 17x7-1/2 +30MM.
Like a dummy I ordered the same tire size I've had forever, 265/65R17 Michelin LTX's, BEFORE I found out that new wheels were 7" width.

Will 265/65R17's fit the 17X7 wheels OK?
Do I need to worry about the difference in offsets?

Thanks!

Unfortunately, Tire Rack recommends 7.5”-9.5” rims for all four of their Michelin LTX 265/65/17 tires, with a measured rim width of 8.0”.

The difference in offsets isn’t an issue if your old wheel/tire combo didn’t rub.

I have 255/75/17 tires on my 7” rims (same style as your new rims).

The installer was kind enough to mount a new 265/65 tire on the 17x7 rims and put it on the front of Runner. No clearance issues. I decided to go ahead and mount all on the 17x7 rims. It doesn't look bad but I do wonder about unusual tread wear or sidewall stress or quick emergency turns. So far she drives about the same as with the stock rims. I'll post pictures when I have the chance.

running the same setup on my 03 v8 4th gen, except with kumho krugen ht51's (design is very similar to the michelin defenders). I think the bulging makes it look better imo!

I agree that it's not a problem, and if anything you have a bit extra rim-saver rubber there.

Nice wheels, by the way. What did they come off of?

edit: duh I clicked the link, disregard my question! 2015 4Runner.

Did you have any caliper clearance issues?
I have an 07 limited with the bigger caliper and looking at trd offroad premium wheels.

Not bulbous enough! Here's what the 285s look like on the 7" rim. My girl handles like a sports car, no body roll. If inflated correctly. Lots of extra rim protection for the trail if you're into that.

No it's the stock 7" rim on 285/70/17s. I have two inch wheel spacers also for the beast look. Not only for looks but a 4" wider stance for supreme handling in corners! Here's a side view.
