2003 vs 2006 V8 Maf

I just swapped my volant intake for a factory one in preparation for a snorkel. Went to install the Maf and it doesn’t fit. Come to find out it looks like my 03 v8 Maf is larger.

Question is.. if I pick up the 06 Maf is it possible to rewired and make it work ? Looks like connectors are different for sure. Attached are pics of mine from the 03

Hard to say if the signal paths are the same between the different MAFs and ECUs.
The voltage values could be different between the two years also. The non VVTi years 03' - 04' could be a different program in the ECU as well. A good solder connection will be necessary to keep the resistance to a minimum. You might need to look at the wiring schematics for both years and compare.
Gadget over at URD would probably know for sure, he is pretty good at answering email questions.
Maybe someone with more knowledge will chime in, because Im really no help to you lol.
