Codes P0300 P0328 P0171

2005 4runner SR5 V8. Awhile back i hydro locked my engine and blew it up, so I threw in a crate engine. Ever since it’s been throwing these codes which are random misfire, knock sensor high voltage bank 1 and system too lean bank 1. Any ideas? It smells like there’s excessive fuel but that might be because I don’t have a muffler. It won’t shift into 5th and is very slow to accelerate and the throttle lags in second gear.

Really hard to say... sounds like could be a potential vacuum leak somewhere? That would definitely cause a lean issue and could be the cause of the misfire as well and knock. Could also be ignition system related as well but since you're picking up a lean code not very likely.

I’ve tried checking for vacuum leaks with carb cleaner, but I’m gonna try to pick up a live data obd2 scanner and check fuel trims and that should tell me. I replaced all spark plugs, cleans MAF and throttle body. Car drives better but still the codes mentioned above.

I was getting misfires and then the Lean B1 issues on my 08 V6 for a while and tracked it down to a crack in the header manifold..
