New Battery
Just put in a 27F battery from Toyota this morning. Seems to be quite zippy now. Was wondering what everyone is doing for a battery these days. It's got 710CCA for 147 bucks. Seems nice enough for me. I don't do anything special.

I just got the interstate battery 27F from costco for $93.99 . 710 Cc. Coming from 24f 700 cc which was weak at temp below 20 deg.
The 27F is for cold climate as per interstate website

Gosh, wish I had a Costco here. I would have taken that deal.
The group 31 battery above, does that require a different battery tray? The 27F is a perfect fit on mine. Wouldn't mind one of those next.

I'm also not a fan of the 24F. I've been buying the 27 and replacing every 4th or 5th fall without any problems. Yes, I know they will probably go longer but, it's not a daily and I like have a fresh battery.

I recently replaced my last (5 years) NAPA battery with an Advanced Auto AGM. So far, it seems to be quite strong. Let's see how it does this winter.

Have been buying my batteries from Walmart after having many problems with other well known auto parts stores, at Walmart no special paper work battery is stamped with date bought if it fails during warranty it’s replaced.
Very simple.

I use Toyota, have had excellent life on all three Toyotas; 4Runner, Highlander, Matrix. Would like to try non wet sometime, but we'll see, I don't off road or have extra electrical draw.

no new tray, the battery post might be a little to high on certain battery brands, not all battery is created the same. my northstar battery post seem to be a little bit higher than my other oddysee battery on another truck.

I went up to a 27f at the beginning of this year after my 24f was struggling in below zero temperatures. I've been very happy with it and no problems so far. Got a Duracell from Sam's club for $99.94 before taxes.

Currently running a duralast gold 27f. I wouldn’t mind jumping to a 31 if it’s a direct drop in.

I'm a big fan of the Interstate ones. I had a Megatron in my old 3rd gen for freakin ever (7ish years?), so I went with the 27F from Costco too. Although, that being said, there was a 27F in there from the previous owner, and everrryyy time I'd take my truck somewhere to get an alignment and they'd scan the battery they'd say "OMFG IT'S GONNA DIE ANY DAY!". It lasted two years doing that, and I had a battery back up for when it finally died after having my radio on for a couple hours (so it probably still had some life in it). I'll say it's a lot quicker to start now though in the cold.
