Guys, would appreciate a little advice.

I decided to replace the flexi-hoses while I was at it.

The nut that joins the metal brake pipe to the flexi-hose is very, very tight. I am using a flared 10mm spanner, and have applied as much force as I dare to it.

I have applied heat to it and squirted with PB Blaster to see if that will help. It is getting dark here now so I have left it for today. Hopefully that will soak in overnight.

They're not reverse threaded or something are they?

If I cannot get it un-done, what is the next step? Replace the metal brake pipe?

Thanks!

Just an update, anyone who has struggled to undo the flare line nuts, get yourself one of these. Best £20 I ever spent on tools. It allows you to get a fine jet of flame right where you need it, on the nut/thread. Three goes with this and some PB Blaster, then kept a sustained force on the spanner for 10 seconds or so, and it undid with a CRACK
