Steering issue - what to check next?

So I知 trying to figure out what my next steps should be. I need a oil change so I figure I値l just drop it into the shop and have them check the problem out at the same time. But I知 curious if anyone has any ideas?

Just replaced my cv痴 myself. Everything went fine. 4runner has 250k on my 04 v8. If I center the steering wheel it tracks to the right a little. So I know I need an alignment. They did mention the tires might be a little cupped. The plan is to replace the tires in spring when they are done. (Lift and bigger tires then)

So it drives fine and brakes fine. Get to 60mph and above and the steering feels loose. A little more play when hitting a bump then I知 used to. Not every time, but some times the steering wheel will shake bad while braking. But not every time. But once above 60 I feel a slight vibration while driving constantly. It痴 a slight vibration but you can feel it the seats too, that痴 how much it shakes.

What should I be looking into next?

could be a number of things. Since you mentioned the cupping and alignment issues, esp after you did the cv's yourself, that could def be causing the shaking. Get new tires and and alignment, then see if its still shaking. If its still shaking after that, i could be bad steering rack, I had one that needed to be replaced at 170,000. Or if its shaking while breaking, your rotors could be warn, or warped, and need replacing.....or check the roll bar bushing/assembly, they could be warn or loose.
