My 1st attempt at a flush grill mod. Kinda turned out lame but oh well. The plastic grille was starting to fall apart. The mesh is used is 1/8” diamond mesh used for security doors I think. Idk it was in my dads shop. Also peeled the plasti-dip off the chrome surround.

My 2007 SR5 4WD V6 was purchased new from Findlay Toyota in Henderson, NV in Feb. 2007. It is titanium metallic with stone gray interior. Sunroof, Homelink, compass and cargo net…pretty basic.

The 4Runner stayed mostly stock until 2015 when I finally lifted it. This forum was a huge influence in my rigs progression. I appreciate all the members who have taken the time to post maintenance and mods for all our benefit.

The dealership did all the routine maintenance for the first two years and replaced one inner cv boot. Except for a couple alignments I’ve done all my own maintenance and modifications.

I lost most pictures of it still bone stock.
Earliest pics I have from around 2015 after installing a Toytec 3” lift. Bilstein 5100 fronts set at 0”. 265/75r17 Firestone Destination a/t.
And current as of 8/5/22
Love this build!

Thanks. I like em but they look better on classic trucks imo. They’re American Racing Baja 17x9 -12 backspacing. I didn’t care for the center caps so they’re on the shelf.

Looks familiar lol.

How are you liking the 3D printed cup holder insert? Found that on thingiverse, might print it.

Yeah dude it turned out killer. Thanks again. Wasn’t sure if you wanted me advertising where I got it or not.
I like the cup holder. Since you can print your own you might want to play with the cup opening sizing. I got mine with equal size openings. It’s definitely better than the lame stock one.

Yea I don't mind, put it on blast! Good to know on the cup holder. I'll have to see if they also posted up the CAD file so I can manipulate it.

Repurposed a rubber truck bed mat from my brothers full-size dodge and made a new cargo liner. He line-x’d his bed and was gonna throw it away. It covers the cargo area and the folded down seat backs. The one I had made from UHMW was light and strong but it was slick and stuff just slid around too much.

Replace the pan hard bushings with poly Energy Suspension 8.7105. I don’t have a press so I had to drill out the rubber then cut and chisel the outer sleeves. Good times.

Yeah I think I’ll wait till I can use my buddies press to do the uppers. Pan hard wasn’t too terrible cause they’re small. Still took me like two hours.

DIY skid plates

Something I’ve been working on for quite some time here and there is repurposing an old metal work table into skid plates. This rusty chunk of 1/4” plate was free. I’ve been loosely following the diy by @y=mx+b . I faced a number of challenges, first not having a 3 prong 240v outlet then my air compressor not being able to keep up with the Cornwall tools plasma torch my buddy let me borrow, then the torch barely being able to cut 1/4”. I had the basic parts and pieces made for a while. I used some 3/16 u channel for the core support. I used 2x2 1/4 wall square tube and 3/16” flat plate for the two front stand offs and made some small spacers for the rear engine crossmember from UHMW. The transmission crossmember stand off is 1x2 rec tubing which was part of the frame of the table I cut up for this. The rest of the 1x2 will be the t-case crossmember. I still need some bracing and side fillers but otherwise I love how this is turning out.
