‘07 4Runner has zero power

This truck hardly gets driven these days, but has a new battery and was driven a few weeks ago. Now when I put the key in to start it there is absolutely no sign of life. Not a single dash light, nothing. Hooked up a Noco jumper and showed the battery as good and still nothing. I suspect a ground or fuse or battery terminal, but am not sure where to start. I loosened the battery terminals and wiggled them a bit and retightened with no change.
Any suggestions?

Do the headlights and horn work? Could be a dodgy ignition switch if they do.

If not main fuse/bad ground as you say.

Well, I’m making progress. I hooked up real jumper cables this time to my other 4Runner and it is showing signs of life but won’t quite turn over. If I leave them hooked up for a while will that improve the charge or do I need a legit battery charger?

Check the terminal clamps are tight and there is no corrosion between them and the terminals.

Thanks for the replies. I’m back in business. I guess the car likes to be driven more than five minutes every month or two. I’ve never seen a car so dead that not a single light would come on even on the dash.

If you're only going to drive it once a month I would say a half hour drive at minimum. Throw the Noco on it two weeks after you drive it for few hours too.

Thanks, Rdruss. We’re planning to sell it soon, just need to figure out how to get the p0016 code to go away. I’ll start a new thread for that!
