Are there steel bumpers that offer full cover across the front? (not high clearance)

Looking for a steel or aluminum bumper that offers full cover across the front. More along the lines of what the stock bumper covers. All I can find are high clearance bumpers or the slim line style.

The front plastics and such hurt the approach angle, which is why a lot of the aftermarket bumpers you see tuck up really close to the front of the frame and body to try and improve that aspect. Most of them also don't cover much of the front of the wheels so you can get them up and over obstacles without ripping through the bumper to get there

I haven't seen one that covers the same amount of area as the stock bumper, but you could probably have something custom made.

just curious as to what the reasoning is? Looks or something functionality related?

and +1 on the above ARB, its the only one I have seen around that resembles anything close to stock.

more protection

Mostly I would like more protection. I have not needed a high clearance bumper for the type of off road driving I do. I have more risk of sliding into an embankment, tree or into a ditch and think a full coverage bumper would offer more protection for the front corners, tire/suspension areas in those situations. I guess I could be wrong.....

I have one from Shrockworks that's very similar to the ARB but IMO fits the lines of the 4th gen a bit better. Below is a pic from their site...
