Rear wheel well liner help please

Just purchased a 2007 4Runner over the weekend!

I can't seem to find a diagram or part number, hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Both rear wheel wells are missing the shields, aprons or whatever they're called, as shown in the pic below. Any help greatly appreciated!

Also, any specific recommendations, links etc for clip tools, interior tools I'll need to remove door panels and other interior panels for running wires, etc. would be much appreciated :-)

I believe just the rear mud flaps are missing. They go up fairly high.

Its the rear mudflaps. I have a pair and have trimmed my rear bumper beyond them being usable to me. Same with the front if you need those. The mudflaps are untouched, I just pulled them off. PM me if you're interested

Boy do I feel dumb. Of course, mud flaps. I do plan on taking this off-road, but nothing crazy. Should I install mudflaps, fabricate something from plastic to close off the openings, or just leave them open? Seems like mud and debris might really collect in those holes...

With my aftermarket rear bumper, mine are exposed similar to yours with no ill-effects that I know of. That little black box inbetween is a cabin air vent, when you close the doors you can see the flaps open up briefly.

just to clarify, if you are installing mudflaps they will cover that entire opening. Its a mud flap that is a part-time fender liner as well... lol.

Mine are completely open with the aftermarket bumper, and i'll get some dirt in there but nothing that doesn't wash right out.

Thanks, everyone! Sounds like it's not really anything I need to worry about, great!

I took mine off when I undersealed and I nearly didn't bother even putting it back on. Look at that for a rust trap. At least you'll be able to clean it out easily
