Free custom cup holder

I got this from
2003-2009 4runner Customizable Cupholder Insert | Etsy.
Black. Brand new. The creator did a mistake. I ordered it with the two different cup holder sizes. So I can use my thermos. He sent it with the two same sizes. So I told the guy I would give away the original one he sent.

Here’s the deal.
1. Relay a convincing story of why you deserve this. I don’t care how outlandish or if it’s a lie even. I just want to the most convincing story.

I’ll pick on 1/25/22 @ dinnerish time on the east coast. and relay in the thread who the winner is.

After that date of picking, if anyone else wants a nice cup holder, please order from the lad who created it. They are nice. A little detailed item that’s cheap. And please relay to the guy you ordered because of the thread.

I got my 4Runner in August 2020 so I'm pretty new to the family. She's a 2008 Urban Runner V6 that has been draining my wallet ever since I fell in love and want only the best I can afford haha. When I got it the factory cup holder arms were broke off and sitting in the glove box and it just kinda sucks lol besides cans everything else flops around like a fish and I would love these custom ones. If it helps my case I'm a type 1 diabetic and it just kinda hinders my life and wallet as well, I don't get many benefits from it but you might get some life karma for uhh, "donating" to diabetes hahaha. But I appreciate you're giving them away in the first place and good luck to everyone else.

I’ve always liked the urban runner. Welcome to the family.

OMG I NEED THIS!

You wouldn't believe the story I have for you. Late last year I was out for a day trip with some members of the local 4Runner groups traveling a familiar trail called "China Dam Trail". The day was going great, not a cloud in the sky, temps in the 70's and out with some great people. Then as I was making a descent down a 3 foot drop off ledge...TERROR STRUCK!!! As I slowly depressed the brakes to allow my front passenger to slide off the ledge we dropped down and my energy drink jolted in the poorly designed stock cup holders. The can did a free fall from the drop, bouncing the bottom of the cup holder and ultimately splashing the liquid contents all over the cabin.

If that wasn't bad enough a moderate amount shot up into my right eye. With a literal knee jerk reaction I floored the accelerator, demanding my 4.7L V8 propel us forward in haste. With the entire rear of the vehicle still on the upper portion of the ledge we bobbed down like Santa in his sleigh taking off into the sky! What happened next, no one was ready for... a brigade of Jeepers was directly in front of us roughly 30ft down trail. The utter acceleration left us with no chance of stopping before ramming a XJ Cherokee forcing him down the side of the embankment in a succession of barrel rolls. The XJ finally came to rest on the passenger side in the bottom of the gulch.

At this point I didn't have words for what just happened. I slowly got out of my vehicle and walked towards to edge of the embankment to see. Suddenly I heard the creak of a door and saw the drivers side door of the XJ open slowly. I ran down to the bottom of the gulch to offer any aid I could and ensure the driver was alright. As I arrived at the vehicle and the driver emerged only to stare at me as if I was staring at death. Then the driver said to me only one thing... "

I have a 2005 V6 Sport SR5.
I drink a lot of coffee, I mean a lot. I work crazy hours and usually need a Jolt but settle for a nice House Roast/Columbia on the way in. I should also mention that I like tons of sugar and tons of creamer. Usually ends up more like a milk shake than a coffee. However, as we all know the only place for certain style mugs/tumblers is the dashboard, so I thought. My runner is an EDD and I usually place the drink on the dashboard in between gulps. This is where my story begins... .
I was in traffic with coffee cup resting on the dash and I was cut off by a fully waxed Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with Nitto Tires and a 10 time lighted roof rack. He cuts me off and slammed on his brakes as if I didn't exist. I had some choice words but I am a newly single father and my daughter was in her car seat in the back (I shout "ear muffs") and I mumbled what I thought of him. My wonderfully brewed and sweetened to perfection libation went flying and drenched my dashboard from front to back and side to side. The front console and instrument panel were now the equivalent to a sticky fly tape and the worst part is that it seeped down through the cracks and edges of the dash and soaked my 4x4 ECU. It was beyond cleaning and I had to order one. I have learned my lesson from placing the much needed giant cup of coffee on the dash and would greatly appreciate the cup holder to hold my perfect libation.
Many thanks and good luck to all.

Wait a sec, which size fits a big THERMOS? The 5/8 or 1/8 inch? There aren't a lot of pictures here. I have the original but it kinda sucks with the pop-out holder that don't hold things well.

It’s awesome for you to offer this up to other members. I purchased one of these for myself for Christmas. Excellent upgrade and simple design. Thanks for sharing the love with our 4Runner community.
