But now i live in Texas, everything is basically a motorway. So you drive in a straight line for 30 miles.. turn left, straight line for 30 miles. Turn right.... Etc.

I used to daily drive the evo with a twin disc clutch which was great... until you got stuck in stop and go traffic. But man do i miss that thing. So much fun, so many cool noises. but holy shit did that thing cost me some money!!!

Ugh... i cry everytime i watch a video of my old car.. i still love her.
That thing rips, I don't generally like 4 pots (As you know it's all we have here basically) but that sounds naughty

This will make you laugh, I was actually disappointed when I found out there was no manual 4th gen 4.0. as I would happily have bought one as it will always be my belief that automatics are some form of witchcraft.

But that aside, I love it and glad Toyota made the decision for me.

I'm in Surrey, but you're a Southerner now as well.

oh i remember the good ol' days of addidas tracksuits and house music blasting while we drove around in a 1.0l vauxhall nova acting like we were the best thing since sliced bread..

I was amazed at the vehicles you could get in America. just for the engines. i mean, my last vehicle like i said was a RAM power wagon. 6.4l V8 it was an absolute MONSTER. i could not imagine driving that thing in the UK. would've cost hundreds of pounds to fill up each time. i think it had like a 33 gallon petrol tank.

I honestly have never been that far south.. kinds sad to think about. I hear surrey has some beautiful scenery for trees and hills and valleys.

Maybe once the UK gets it SHIT together regarding COVID i can actually go back home. I just dont want to deal with the hassle of all the tests you gotta do. like, im still a British Citizen. LET ME IN!!! hahaha.

you have put that into perspective for me now though. a 4l engine in any configuration is HUGE in the UK. all i remember is things like the Nova, Corsa, clio, saxo. all the good 90's chav cars. lololol

You're not missing much here, although it's MUCH better than some countries. Are Texas and Florida the good states to be in right now? Think I heard that. There are some wonderful places down south but TBH probably replicated somewhere in the US given the size of it.

The Nova was THE quintessential chavmobile! I can't remember the last time I saw one, or an XR2i...

4 litres is enough for me, dunno what MPG the V8s get in comparison but (luckily?) it looks like they didn't make them in RHD. I could have just got a Landcruiser but didn't want all the toys, I know it's a 'Yota but still, anything can break.

You would love the plate I managed to get for this, I couldn't believe it was still available, if I tell you it's a 2007 so new format you might guess it...

yeah but there is something about the English air. especially in the countryside. you cannot beat it. i have travelled many states in the US, and while marvelous. still cannot beat the English countryside. I would say Texas is one of the good places. they just passed a constitutional carry law. So now we can all carry our guns freely. without having a concealed license. lol. We also never really bothered about COVID. no shutdowns, no mask rules.

I swear all of those cars were made by the same people.. just different badges. looking at them now, they are all the same!

I honestly couldnt guess on the plates now. i left in 2005 so any guess is as good as mine. What is it!?!?!?! i remember the way we used to do them made for some awesome/hilarious personal ones.

True, there is something about the coastal air, at least on the Atlantic side

Only a Brit will understand how amazed I was to pick this up
