Turn Signal auto-cancel question
I have a 2004 4Runner. The blinker rarely 'auto cancels' and turns off after making a turn. I thought this was due to the clock spring as I was having issues there, but changed that the issue still remains. I pulled the blinker switch, cleaned and lubed the contact points, and it's still inconsistent.
I can see the 'actuator' or whatever it's called on the steering column that trips the switch, and it seems fine. The little white tab on the blinker switch itself is seems fine. If I turn the wheel way past 90 degrees, it will cancel. I'm thinking that maybe it's just the nature of the vehicle and not something wrong.
Before I go and buy a new switch - does anyone else notice the blinker failing to turn off after 'normal' right or left turns?
