Water in turn signal

Weird but water is accumulating in my front driver side turn signal.

Can i just drill a hole in it to drain water? I don't know how it is getting in.

This is too good to resist - your directional fluid is leaking.

Looks like the seal where the lens and housing meet has failed.

Drilling a small hole in the bottom couldn't make it worse .

Pull it off the 4Runner, and dump out the water. Then place it in a small cardboard box with a hair dryer blowing into the box, it'll dry it out nicely. They take clear/black/white silicone around the outside where the lens mates to the body.

I've done it on my headlights and it worked amazing- still holding up too!

How do I even get it off? Do I have to take the bumper off?

I had to drill a hold in one for a car of mine that was filling up with water in the same way. It wouldn't pass inspection with the water trapped inside. Even the condensation would have caused it to fail inspection.

Hole drilled and problem solved.

I had the same thing happen with my Driver Side Turn Signal Housing. I ended up having to replace the bulb socket harness, as the water caused a short and fried the receiver. I also ended up replacing the Turn Signal Housing altogether. Silicone would be the more cost effective route. Let us know how it turns out!
