Need advice fast: y-pipe vs o2 sensor

So the bank one downstream o2 sensor was throwing codes. Got under it tonight to replace it and hit a hard snag. The o2 spacer (DT headers, v8, magnate cat back) was too far gone (rusted). The tip is still in the bung (read that after beer…) and I’m not able to remove.

Full out replace the Y-Pipe? Doug Thorley?
Q: from the pics, looks like this eliminates the downstream o2?

Alternative approaches?

The downstream sensor should be retained. Otherwise I believe you would need a simulator like one offered by URD. The Y pipe is on of the most restrictive sections of the exhaust in general so if you already have headers it is worth upgrading.
You can always take it to an exhaust shop and see if they can splice in a new bung or just fab a new spacer
I had a custom Y pipe made for my V6 when I got my headers installed. They eliminated the secondary converters and I never saw a CEL.
