Auxito 9006 Low Beam Review + Cutoff Pictures

Hello all!

I received some AUXITO 9006 low-beam LED headlight bulbs for review (these specific ones: 9006/HB4 LED Headlight Bulbs, Mini Size 80W 16,000LM Beam 6500K — AUXITO) in my 2003 (non-projector) T4R. I wanted to do the forum justice by taking cutoff-line photos in an area that is close to 25 feet.

The headlights were just as simple to install as regular halogen lights, and I did not bother zip-tying the extra bit of wire for the control module so it took all of 30 seconds to put both sides in. I DID have to do some adjustment to the headlight aiming, but some of that was because my 4runner had been in a previous fender-bender and my headlights had wonky aim since I purchased it.

IMO the cutoff line is actually pretty good with these. I've ran HID's with casper-shields in my high-school days, and these are definitely more advanced than those were when it comes to proper cutoff and actual decent light output. The "squirrel finder" area IS brighter than a halogen would be, because the overall light output is higher. My headlight lenses also have some fogging and clear coat failure so this does scatter the light more as well. I believe the photos I've posted below represent their lighting output as well as the cutoff line provided by them so that the forum can make it's own opinion.

Here are the photos. The first is with the halogens (this was after I had adjusted the aim) and then the last three photos are of the LED bulbs with various iPhone 11 exposures:

Have you driven enough at night to decide what it's like for oncoming drivers? Do you get flashed alot?

Thanks

I haven't been flashed with them, but I also have not had them long enough to really give that a good long-term test. I can update that in a few weeks time as I drive more at night.

They certainly weren't lighting up people's faces as I drove past like HID's in halogen reflectors do.

Update?

So it's been a year and a half now. Updates? We're they "brighter" than halogens? How's the color? More white? Or on the blue end? You get flashed a lot? You have to readjust the aim? How are they holding up? Would buy again?

@Forever_Student and @RBLACAUSA , sorry guys, just seeing your messages now!

Bulbs are still doing great, but I've actually moved them to the high-beam slot and retrofit a set of projectors in the low beam. The bulbs did put out a ton of light, but I was getting flashed out on the country 2-lane roads and I can't stand to blind people.

The color on them is great, it's definitely just "white". I prefer 4300k to 5000k bulbs, but these don't have a lot of blue tint to them honestly.

They had a decent cutoff IMO when I was running them, but with how bright they were (and the crappy Amazon headlight housings I was using), they put off a little too much light above the cutoff line that bothered oncoming drivers.

As high-beams, they are fantastic. They put out a TON of light. So I'm still pleased with them, but I probably wouldn't use them again as low beams. Just my 2 cents
