Hid Xenon Depot

Has anyone had good experience with the "Extreme" HID kit from Xenon Depot? I wanted to get the H11 Phillips kit but it is no longer available from XD.

Thanks

I am sorry you are having trouble with XD.

For your info, I sent a question by e-mail to XD and received a response in 3 days.

I wonder if the 4300k is on back order as well. Maybe I should look elsewhere.

Just for those that are interested in the Xtreme Kit. I got the H11 4300k kit. I ordered mine a week ago and got it 3 days later. Overall I am happy with the light output and the quality of the kit.

I did end up ordering the kit. 4300 H11 Similar to "golfn", received it in 3 days.

There is a lot of wires! Still haven't figured out a way to install it without wires hanging everywhere. I think I might try to make brackets to attach the ballasts and the igniters -- neatly. Had it for abut a month now. It's looking like it might just take up permanent residence in the box. Sigh.

On the driver's side, I hid all of the extra wire, the ballast, and igniter to the right side of the battery. You can obviously tell that it's there, but still clean.

Passenger side I was able to move the airbox around enough to fit the ballast next to it stuck to the fender.

Both ballasts ended up under the lip of the engine bay and under the portion of the hood where the seal occurs - in hopes of keeping water off of the ballast.

Of course I was hoping for an OEM beam pattern (a saturated pattern that spreads out wide with a distinct beam to pick up reflectors down the road) but overall the OE projectors to a pretty good job - leagues better than any reflector type would.

Mine is the Xtreme kit 5000K - I've had it for all of two days. no problems ordering and receiving the order. My only complaint is that the graphics on the label on the ballast and igniter make the kit look cheap.

I was able to figure out the harness (there's only constant power and ground required) but for somebody who has no clue what to do under the hood - instructions would also be nice.

I do agree the Xtreme stickers on the ballast and igniter make the kit look cheap. I actually took a thin black sticky foam pad and cut it to fit perfectly over the blue logos. Now everything is either black or gray.

Also I ran all the wires along side the fender wells. I stretched all the wires as thin as possible and zip tied to existing factory wires.

Hooking the kit up took no time at all, it is the wiring that will take you a long time(To make it as clean as possible). Of course you could just hook it up and bunch it all together in 5 mins.

Lastly I adjusted both beams lower and its good to go.

Hi Guys,

If you end up taking any pictures of the results I would love to see them. Sorry you're not "crazy" about the logo. However, I am glad to hear that you're happy with the output.
