08 Urban runner guys using the maestro RR interface

Hi guys my 08 4runner is the Urban runner package with that TOM TOM stereo, Its been replaced and finally got the maestroRR steering wheel controller installed with my kenwood dnx997xr Was hoping to get tire pressure read out and gauges but they arent showing up, I was able to get the gauges to work but had to flash the unit to the 08FJ cruiser to get them to work, anyone have a urbanrunner and using a maestro rr and get the tire pressure reading to work?

I’m using the Maestro RR with a Pioneer 4200NEX and I don’t have tire pressure data either. My understanding is that the TPMS data didn’t make it into the OBD2 stream until 2009.

I was told its a urban runner issue. I saw guys with 05-08 sr5 and limited they get the tire pressure data. Im hoping to find someone that has experience with the UR and hopefully find a solution.

Anyone install Maestro RR in aftermarket head unit?

did you guys try using the land cruiser firmware?

before you guys do that, make sure to remember the firmware that was used before. incase the new firmware dont work, you can go back to the old one.

i browsed that idatalink forum, i think i saw both you guys on there.

i also provided an updated link to fried rice thread, it explains what was used and hardwire.

Mine is currently using the 08 FJ cruiser firmware but all I get is gauges rpm speed. The guys at Idatalink forum came across as didnt want to be bothered and rude and locked my post cause I was asking questions, blew it off saying there is no support for the urban runner

can you try the 4runner firmware, you did do all the hardwiring right? i dont see why that wont work. plug and play vs hardwire shouldnt make a difference.

If I'm not mistaken all 4 Gen T4Rs with navigation units have a navigational computer, not sure if the Tom Tom versions are different, if this is true could that be causing the issue?

Are you using the to1 harness or just adapted the manual wiring instructions?

The reason I ask is the manual instructions leave out a wire or 2 and use different pins to the maestro for some connections, which the harness firmware accounts for. It is only so they can sell the harnesses, not because the wiring would be too difficult to do manually, and if you point it out on their forum your post will be deleted. Sadly the schematic for the to1 harness isn't posted anywhere i know about.

I am currently using the fj cruiser format, the wiring is hard wired not sure how the shop did it. They did use the TO1 harness. If it was me I would have just did wire for wire as if you was wiring the stereo but it was too overwhelming for me, plus I wouldnt know how to wire up camera and steering wheel wires. so far its cost me over $500 just in installation and still dont have what I want. NJ sucks for installers

It seems only us guys with the urban runner that came with that tom tom stereo are the only ones that have this problem.
