Looks like it requires cutting up the old bumper cover... but at that price who cares?
Wish there were more details on this.

Haha Sacramento area. Just going to build one higher up and make different style side wing protection.

Hm, I like this and it's a great price. I wonder what/how he added the tire carrier and if it's a swingout. Problem I see is that it seems to ADD to the clearance. My rear has already got dinged and pulled out a bit, don't want it even lower.

If you buy direct from the sellers website (company is called "vijay") you can get a version with a swingout for 700$.
Just wish we had some more info on adapting to the 4runner, how it mounts, etc.
My plastic bumper is super screwed up too... so I'm hesitating as I'd have to buy a new bumper cover. Alternatively, maybe just add a bit of metal to the bumper for the upper part of the cover?

I just purchased this Vijay bumper from Amazon. Hopefully it bolts right up. If not, I'm a fabricator by hobby now so we will see what it takes to make it work!
When I put the second gen taco bumper on the front of my build, people lost their minds. Let's see if we can do it again wit a 5th gen bumper

So the 5th Gen 4Runner bumper WORKS with minor modification! You have to remove a few things from the frame and obviously cut the OEM plastic- but if I could make it this clean with a 1" body lift, I bet y'all could do much better!
For $700 shipped and at my front door in 4 days- I am pretty darned happy!

It's definitely tempting! It looks nice and on top of it you also have a 1" BL, which is also what I have on mine? Do you think the construction/material is strong enough to hold a spare 35?

Oh man, this is exciting.
How's the quality? What do you mean by "remove some things from the frame?"
The only part I'm really worried about is my existing bumper cover is absolutely beat to shit -_- I will probably have to get a new one if I go this route.
For 700 though, this is definitely interesting.

Hey! I think the material is strong enough for a 35 for sure. Its very rigid, and the swingout uses the dual conical bearing design. I can sit on it when its opened up and it still closes fine time and time again.
